The awards were presented inside one of the buildings on Sunday morning. Rene thanked everyone for coming out and announced that an adequate amount of money was raised for his medical fund. Once the awards were handed out, it was time to break everything down, load the truck, and head south toward home. And we got out of Red Bluff just in time, because the impending blazing summer heat finally arrived the very next day, and knowing that area, it was probably there to stay for the next two or three months. It was perfect timing, for perfect weather, and a perfect weekend.
