10-4 Magazine / March 2022 31 Ambrosio Arguelles Jr. lost his brave battle with his long-term illness and passed away at the age of 37 in Ventura, CA on December 8, 2021. Many knew him as that guy taking pictures at truck shows. Ambrose was well known in his community and his interests and hobbies included photography, trucks, and spor ts (Go Dodgers). His love for trucking led him to work for many trucking companies such as TMT, Rollin R, Gardner, Gills Onions, Team Transit, and Lagomarsino Transpor tation. Ambrose was a dialysis patient for 12 years. He was on a journey towards a kidney transplant and advocating to make a difference, but his greatest priority was taking care of his mother Mar tha after she survived a stroke. It was not always easy, but one thing was constant – his love for his momma. The entire time Ambrose cared for his mom his health was never 100 percent, but Ambrose was the only person who could truly make her smile. While on dialysis, Ambrose never gave up his dreams of being a trucker, even though he star ted having seizures and had an infection that kept reappearing. Through all of that, he found jobs that still surrounded him with trucks. On occasion he’d get to take one out for a quick whirl to help satisfy his yearn to be on the road. With his newfound love for photography, Ambrose made it his mission to attend as many shows as he could and photograph as many trucks as possible. So, while he was unable to drive, he was still able to be in that trucking environment he loved so much. On December 29, 2021, a procession of trucks followed the hearse that carried Ambrose to his final resting place at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, CA. Ambrose was blessed with many family members and is survived by his father Ambrosio Arguelles Sr., mother Mar tha Oropeza Arguelles, brother Ricardo Arguelles and sisters Gina, Justine, and Janelle Arguelles.
