Owned by Mike Maggini (45) of Maggini & Son Trucking in Riverdale, CA, the 1998 Peterbilt 379 was Mike’s everyday driver for the first ten years of its life. Since then, it was parked, and is now only brought out for special occasions. Featured on our cover exactly 20 years ago (March 2003), this truck is just as relevant and trend-setting today as the day it was retired. Featuring a custom interior with a leather floor, a painted, polished, and pinstriped 550 Cat hooked to a Super-13 transmission, and a host of one-o‘ parts and pieces, this truck continues to set the standard for what it means to be California cool. And the Maggini family are some of the nicest and most fun people you could ever meet! Seen here at a large tractor and farm equipment dismantling yard, the iconic yellow and green flamed Peterbilt is looking a lot better than the rusty John Deere cotton pickers behind it.
