Importantly, Gary also wants to thank his daughter Jen Disher Smith, and her husband, Nolan Smith, for their help and support in continuing to run the company. Gary also wants to thank Manny and Uzzie for their loyalty driving for the Hi-Plains name. Gary would also like to thank and acknowledge the numerous customers and clients over the years for their loyalty in business and friendship, continuing to trust in the Hi-Plains banner. We at 10-4 Magazine would like to thank Gary Disher for his time in making Creamsicle available and clean for a shoot. I would personally like to thank Gary Disher. Anyone who knows me knows that my name is inextricably tied to the Disher name in Denver heavy haul. Fifteen years ago, Gary Disher and the late Bob Ewing (driving for Gary at the time) took me under their wing and began training me to drive big trucks and in heavy haul. I had little idea where their foundational teachings would take me, but without a doubt, I would never have gone trucking in the manifold places I have without their training and support. So, for that, Gary, a very personal and heartfelt, “thank you” from me. Hard work will always yield its own rewards. After a lifetime of hard work, and still working hard today, Gary Disher and his “Creamsicle” are ripe to enjoy some sweet “semi-retirement” that is well deserved. Now I can’t wait for it to get hot enough to enjoy a cool and creamy creamsicle treat! n
