A NOTE FROM OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR This summer flew by in a flash, hard to believe we are now embarking on our Fall Session 2021! Given that this is not your normal back to school moment, your Beverly Hills Community Services Department has been hard at work designing unique Preschool & Enrichment Programming for the 21/22 School Year. Thank you for this incredible opportunity to serve you & for all of your support, warmth, compassion and creativity over this past summer – this is an amazing community of caring folks & we are excited to welcome everyone back in person! As we reopen our public facilities after what has been an unprecedented public health crisis, we in your Community Service Department remain dedicated to bringing you an array of exciting hybrid fall offerings – whether online or onsite – we aim to keep you active, engaged, connected & entertained this fall & all year long! Here are some highlights of the exciting programs & services coming your way this Fall 2021: • Explore Wellness Wednesdays ! This unique Mayorial Initiative is designed to support your health & fitness goals and engage you - mind & body - in exciting exercise activities and social events available onsite, online and on BHTV. Join us in celebration of the community’s ongoing Health & Wellness! • Preschool Onsite and Preschool at Home as we continue to provide our popular preschool program with early childhood education, enrichment, arts & crafts and social engagement activities for our little ones! • Exciting Adventure Camp onsite & online activities. Designed to keep kids engaged, healthy & safe, our After School Adventure Camp provides fun enrichment activities in caring camp pods. • Enjoy our onsite LIVE Concerts on Canon series with performances on Wednesday, August 4 and August 12 – September 9, every Thursday night at 6-8pm! • Coming soon – Beverly Hills Hybrid Fall Art Show Saturday & Sunday, October 16 & 17 - explore the studios and wonder of local artisans and their original handmade creations, visit with an artist and hear them talk about their work and participate in outdoor hands-on artmaking and Arts & Crafts workshops! www.beverlyhills.org/artshow • Our Virtual Community Service offerings continue as part of our ongoing Artmake, Recreate & Library in Place ! Ongoing video & virtual programming includes: senior & adult fitness, health & wellness, arts & culture classes and special “fan-free” events on local cable BHTV Channels 10 & 35, online via our CS website, CommunityLifeBH , and via livestream on our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our new CS VIMEO & YouTube Channels. • Visit the Beverly Hills Public Library now open! We are thrilled to welcome the community back with access to our outstanding book collection and library materials while continuing our awesome array of Online Library & Digital Services which provide virtual access to the latest books, music, movies & more.
