A MESSAGE FROM OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR As the days begin to get shorter, I’m reminded that although nightfall comes earlier, there is something special about the fall season – even here in Southern California. While the temperatures stay warm and the sun continues to shine, there really is a special feeling in the air – cooler mornings, amazing sunsets and vibrant colors of autumn that remind us to slow down, take notice of the season, and enjoy the moment. With kids heading back to school, we’re excited to rev up our fall programming to keep everyone engaged - from out wee little ones to our active adults and senior community! Whether it’s a creative class, dance, fitness, arts and crafts, sports, or leadership opportunities, there really is something for everyone. As the summer sun wanes and our Concerts on Canon series concludes, we’re thrilled to offer a whole array of autumn events to keep the community vibrant and connected. Join us for a variety of exciting events, workshops and community gatherings as we celebrate the season! Here are a few highlights of what’s happening this fall: Fall G r eetings On the Cover! Beverly Hills Doggy Daze 90210™ – where adorable pups and happy families come together for a day of fun, festivities, and cultivating furry friendships. Join us on Sunday, November 2 from 11am - 3pm at Roxbury Park’s Wiggley Field for this paw-some event that captures the spirt of community and the love of pets right in the heart of Beverly Hills! Take a break and enjoy over 30 classes, workshops and self-care activities designed for everyone to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect! Join us on Sunday, September 14 at Roxbury Park and Community Center! GATSBY REDUX: Gatsby Redux is an exquisite and immersive dance theatre production inspired by the classic novel, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This site specific, 90-minute production at Greystone Mansion has audience members follow the dancers through the terraced grounds, exploring themes inspired by the novel! BEVERLY HILLS ART SHOW: Celebrating over 50 years of art excellence, the Beverly Hills Fall Art Show takes place on October 18 & 19 in Beverly Gardens Park. We invite art lovers and enthusiasts to honor creativity and cultural expression by joining us as over 200 artists display their work in 11 mediums. BEVERLY HILLS ARTWALK GUIDED TOURS: Returning this fall for a series of art walk guided tours on October 12, 26, November 9 & 16, you can experience a unique opportunity to explore a stunning collection of the city’s public art works and sculptures created by world-renowned and nationally recognized artists. BEVERLY HILLS DOGGY DAZE 90210™: All pet-lovers, rejoice! Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 2 when Beverly Hills Doggy Daze 90210™ returns to Roxbury Park’s Wiggley Field! This delightful celebration of pets in the heart of Beverly Hills is sure to warm your heart, with adorable dogs gracing the grounds of Roxbury Park! This free, family-friendly event promises a day of thrilling activities, top-notch entertainment, fun-filled four-legged contests, and more! It will be a barking good time for all!
