A MESSAGE FROM OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR Director of Community Services’ Event Spotlight Spring is a season of renewal and inspiration, and I find myself outdoors more, enjoying nature as it bursts into full bloom! This time of the year also provides a wide range of exciting recreational and enrichment opportunities and events that bring community together and tap into the vibrant tapestry of local culture. Peruse through the 2025 Spring Brochure and Summer Camp catalog, and discover a wide array of classes, activities, and events, some of which I’d like to take a moment to spotlight! Spring Greetings! On the Cover! Gatsby Redux at Greystone Mansion & Gardens Coming in June! Gatsby Redux is an exquisite and immersive dance theatre production held at Greystone Mansion & Gardens, inspired by the novel, The Great Gatsby. This site-specific, 90-minute production has audience members follow the dancers through the terraced groups at Greystone, exploring themes inspired by the novel. Watch for dates! JEWISH AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month with us this May! Throughout the month, we will host a variety of festive events across the city to honor the rich and diverse backgrounds of our community. Join us in embracing and recognizing the contributions of Jewish Americans. PRESERVATION MONTH Each May, Preservation Month is celebrated nationwide, highlighting historic sites, heritage tourism, and the social and economic advantages of preservation. At Greystone Mansion & Gardens, a significant historic landmark and public park, a variety of events will be held throughout the month. The remarkable estate features a preserved and restored mansion, spanning 46,000 square feet, set within nearly 18 acres of beautiful maintained grounds and gardens, owned and operated by the City of Beverly Hills. BEVERLY HILLS ART SHOW Celebrating its 52nd year, the Beverly Hills Art Show will take place on May 17th & 18th in Beverly Gardens Park. We invite art lovers and enthusiasts to honor creativity and cultural expression. The show features a diverse array of local, regional and national artists, both established and emerging, creating an opportunity to engage with a wide range of artistic talents and to spark a meaningful conversation about the importance of art. With so many exciting activities and opportunities to connect this spring, bask in the beauty of spring and let its fresh energy fill your soul!

Pre-Team is intro to competitive swimming. Bronze Team is required to swim 200 yards without stopping. Silver Team is required to swim 300 yards without stopping. Gold Team is required to swim 400 yards without stopping. Instructor: Breakthrough Sports. 8 | SPRING 2025 RECREATION/LAP SWIM [1+ yrs] An opportunity for everyone to swim! Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult. A few 25 yard lanes are available for lap swimming. Kickboards and other equipment are available for use. Price is per entry. No refunds. Min Participants: 1 REFUND POLICY A $13 service charge will be applied as well as payments for classes scheduled prior to the request. Refunds requested after the second class will be approved upon the Community Services staff’s discretion. A prorated refund plus a service charge may be assessed for a student’s inability to continue due to medical reasons. Prorated refunds will be based on when we receive notification of the request for a refund. A doctor’s note is required. Every effort is made by the School district to maintain the pool temperature between 78 to 81 degrees for swim instruction. No refunds will be issued based on pool temperature unless determined by the City. A $13 administrative charge will be assessed for each requested class transfer. Not sponsored by BHUSD. In this seven-week session your child will further develop and strengthen their gross motor muscles, leadership skills, balance and core strength through our fun, ever-changing obstacle course designs, activities, games and light sports. All classes are held outdoors in the park. Min Participants: 5 BOUNCE LEAPIN’ LIZARDS [2 - 3yrs] Our Tumbler class is designed to build confidence in your growing toddler. We use our obstacle course designs to encourage your little ones to step a little faster, climb just a little higher and to jump a little further. We use sportsrelated games to introduce new skills while working on their balance, agility and awareness. It’s time for your toddler to not only push your patience but to push their physical limits too! All classes are held outdoors in the park. Min Participants: 5 BOUNCE GRASSHOPPERS [6 - 13mos] This class is perfect for your little one who is just discovering their new ability to navigate their environment. We set up a soft play age-appropriate obstacle course for your baby to explore during this session which also includes circle time, puppet shows, sensory play and music! This class will focus on developing both fine and gross motor skills, socialization as well as musical timing and rhythm. It’s also a great opportunity for moms, dads and caregivers to make new friends too! All classes are held outdoors in the park.
