A MESSAGE FROM OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR Spring is in the air – my favorite owers are beginning to burst with colorful blooms, the days will soon be getting longer (yahoo), and the hopeful energy feels perfectly matched to the seas of learning and discovery ahead. This renewal inspired our upcoming lineup of classes and summer camps, designed to spark you and your child’s curiosity, creativity and connection! We have crafted a vibrant program, so we hope you’ll join us this spring and summer! A few eventful highlights coming this season: Spring Greetings On the Cover! The City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department is excited to introduce our new Cornhole League! The Cornhole League launches on May 28! Call your friends and start forming your team. Join us for some friendly competition, great camaraderie, and plenty of fun in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Everyone is welcome! Come join the action! All the best, Stephanie Harris, Director Community Services Department CORNHOLE LEAGUE: We are introducing a new sport to our list of adult sports leagues! Our new Cornhole League offers friendly competition, teamwork and social fun! We hope you’ll join us! COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT SHOWCASE: This event will be held at the Farmers’ Market on March 1 and it unveils the various summer camp offerings across aquatics, theatre, math & science, sports, tech, reptiles, cooking and more! Take a look at the specialty camps with the Junior Police Academy, Junior Fire ghter Academy, K-Pop Musical Theatre and more. ARTWALK GUIDED TOURS: Our spring series of our curated guided walking tours features a leisurely stroll through Beverly Gardens Park exploring world-renowned art pieces. SPRING BEVERLY HILLS ART SHOW: We’re celebrating over 50 years of bringing this amazing art show to Beverly Hills The Beverly Hills Art Show, which happens every spring and fall, exhibits the artworks of over 250 established and emerging artists from Southern California and beyond along four blocks of beautiful Beverly Gardens Park. Afterwards, visit our many wonderful retail stores and restaurants nearby. CONCERTS ON CAÑON: We’ll be kicking off our summer concert series this June as this popular weekly series returns to Beverly Canon Gardens. Look out for the lineup coming soon! BEVERLY HILLS PUBLIC LIBRARY: Our library offers an abundant list of events and programs, including the upcoming Silent Movie series in April and the Summer Reading Club kicking off in May. The library also offers a delivery of books and materials for residents 85 years and older. Find out more at bhpl.org. Spring Classes: Look through the hundreds of spring class offerings for tot to seniors, including drop-in toddler classes offered throughout the spring at La Cienega Park and Community Center.
