24 | SUMMER 2024 Enrichment 1. MAKE YOUR OWN PLANT TERRARIUM Learn about containers, growing mediums, plant selection, care, and maintenance. All participants will build and take home a small terrarium as well as the knowledge to build a bigger one at home. 2. PICKLE PARTY Learn about the art and science of fermentation and make yourself a jar of pickled vegetables to take home. We will provide ingredients. GARDENING [18+ yrs] 3. HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN HERB AND SPICE MIX From herbes de Provence to seasoned salts, learn how to make your own blends from home grown or store bought herbs and spices. 4. HOW TO GROW A POLLINATION GARDEN Attract birds, bees, and butter ies to your yard using drought tolerant California native plants as well as colorful annual and perennial ornamentals. Sign up for all four classes and get one FREE! FRIDAY MORNING GARDENING CLUB Join our Friday volunteers that help maintain the Greystone Demonstration Garden and pollinator hillsides. You may put on your garden gloves to join in or simply sit and watch the birds while enjoying the camaraderie of other garden lovers. You must arrive between 8:30am - 9:00am and advance registration is required. Adults CERAMICS - OPEN STUDIO TIME [18+ yrs] This is a non-instructional time for potters to practice independently and develop their projects while connecting with others in a relaxed, communal setting. Participants must have previous experience with wheel throwing and/or hand building and feel comfortable working in the studio on their own. Staff will be around to ask questions but will not offer lessons. Fee includes a designated shelf, studio glazes, and ring. Clay must be purchased separately.
