12 Summer 2022 www.beverlyhills.org/BHRec ADVENTURE CAMP AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT CHILDCARE PROGRAM TK/K - 8th grade (ages 5-14) The City of Beverly Hills is dedicated to providing superior service to our participants by offering quality child enrichment programs. Adventure Camp is a dynamic option for children enrolled in TK/Kindergarten through 8th grade. This program helps to promote health and wellness, as well as foster human development by giving children a place to learn and engage with others. Adventure Camp operates on a school year calendar, Monday to Friday at Beverly Vista for 6th to 8th grades; and Hawthorne and Horace Mann Elementary Schools for TK to 5th grade, from dismissal to 6:00pm. State License Numbers: 197407170 and 197407172. Enrollment for the 2022-2023 School Year will Open Online Returning Students on June 16th at 9am & New Students on June 23rd at 9am. MASTER GARDENER CHILDREN’S GARDENING CLASS [7 - 13 yrs] Gardening classes for children. Seasonal activities include seed starting, seed saving, garden maintenance, and harvesting fresh produce. Join us at the Greystone Demonstration Garden (enter on Doheny Road). Instructor: George Pessin. 8314 10:00am - 11:30am Su 7/10 $12/$15 Location: Greystone Demonstration Garden DYNAMO SPORTS CLUB MARTIAL ARTS [5 - 14 yrs] Sensei Boris Brezhnev and the Dynamo coaching staff are experts in conditioning, strength, endurance, flexibility, and techniques that are necessary for pursuing the sport of judo, wrestling, SAMBO (Russian Martial Art), grappling, and combat sports. All levels welcome. Class is held at the Beverly Hills High School Wrestling Room. 9 weeks. 8316 11:00am - 1:00pm Sa 6/11 - 8/6 $160/$200 Location: BHHS Wrestling Room BRIT WEST SOCCER - CLUB PROS [5 - 7 yrs] Athletes will develop dribbling, passing, turning and shooting through small group practices. We also introduce basic soccer rules and terms. Each session ends with a small sided soccer game to put learned skills into the game situation and develop positional play. No Class 7/3. 8 weeks. 8435 11:00am - 11:45am Su 6/12 - 8/7 $149/$186 Location: RX Park SHORTY YOGA: KID YOGA [5 - 9 yrs] Cool kids do downward dog. Elementary school kids will flip for this engagine, accessible yoga class infused with a kick of dance party, and a dash of mindfulness. It’s fun, it’s athletic, and it doesn’t require sunscreen and orange slices for the whole team. Side effects may include a lifelong love of yoga!
