City of Beverly Hills Community Services - Winter 2023

Dear Beverly Hills Community, What a difference a year makes! So happy to be able to return to our normal onsite community programming at city and school sites. As part of the new 22/23 School Year, the Beverly Hills Community Services Department has been hard at work delivering unique Preschool & After School Enrichment programming as part of the expanded Transitional Kindergarten Program. We are grateful to be here with all of you in this amazing community. We, in your Community Service Department, remain dedicated to bringing you an array of exciting winter offerings –onsite & online –to keep you active, engaged & connected this winter and through the year. Here are some highlights of the exciting programs & services coming your way this Winter 2022/23: • Explore and get engaged locally in all of Mayor Lili Bosse’s amazing Healthy City Initiatives – Business with Bosse, Live with Lili and the Mental Wellness Series – join us for social connection & inspiring special events in celebration of this amazing community and the small town character that defines it! • Preschool fun abounds this winter as we continue to provide our popular preschool program with early childhood education, enrichment, arts & crafts and social engagement activities for our little ones! • Exciting Adventure Camp & After School Enrichment onsite activities, designed to keep kids engaged, healthy & safe. Our out of school programming provides fun enrichment activities at city and school sites. • Join us for the magical winter Holidays at Greystone on Saturday, December 3rd & 4th. Bringing holiday magic to Greystone’s historic mansion and gardens, Holidays at Greystone returns with spectacularly festive décor that will incorporate outdoor holiday décor, hands-on arts & crafts activities, holiday themed games, and special Winter Wonderland photo opportunities for children and their families, live caroling, and a fantastic show in the newly-restored Greystone Theatre by the beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater. This annual tradition at Greystone will bring families and the whole community back together again in an enhanced and glorious fashion to usher in the holiday season in style! This event will be free of charge, however, reservations are required and encourage, space is limited, so please register early. • New for Winter 2023 - Beverly Hills ArtWalk Tours – we invite you bring family & friends! Expanded for January – June 2023, this new program features specialty guided docent tours, held once a month, of various City sculptures, artworks, nature (floral & fauna), and historical points of interest surrounding Beverly Gardens Park and beyond! All tours take place on select Sundays (Jan 8, Feb 5, March 5 & 26, May 4 & June 4), starting at 11am. For more information: beverlyhills.org/artwalk. • Visit our award-winning Beverly Hills Public Library Services now reopen for full operational hours.
