A MESSAGE FROM OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR Director of Community Services’ Event Spotlight December is truly one of my favorite months, lled with festive joy and a long list of exciting events! As you explore the 2024 Winter Quarterly Brochure, you’ll discover a wide array of activities organized by the City of Beverly Hills’ Community Services Department. I’d like to take a moment to spotlight a few of our cherished and new events happening this December: Winter Greetings! On the Cover! Join us this December for the Holiday Craft Fair at the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market. Discover a carefully curated selection of local artisans showcasing their handmade creations. From stylish clothing and self-care products to unique gifts for adults, children and pets, you’re sure to nd the perfect gift for your loved ones. A highlight of the event is our Cookie Baking Contest, where dozens of talented amateur bakers compete to create the most beautifully decorated and delicious cookies. The winner earns the coveted title of Best Tasting Cookie in Beverly Hills! Do you have a favorite cookie recipe that everyone raves about? Enter the contest and show your baking skills! We can’t wait to see you there! All the best, Stephanie Harris, Director Community Services Department HOLIDAYS AT GREYSTONE Join us at Greystone Mansion on December 7 & 8, as it transforms into a winter wonderland! This multicultural holiday celebration features an arts & crafts village, live caroling, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, delicious holiday treats and so much more! It’s also a perfect opportunity for families to connect and give back, as our Beverly Hills Fire ghters will host a Spark of Love toy drive to bring joy to less fortunate children. Let’s come together to celebrate the true spirit of the season! SANTA PAWS YAPPY HOUR Bring your furry friends to meet Santa Paws on December 8 at the Beverly Hills Community Dog Park! This delightful event will give your dog a paws-itively exciting opportunity to socialize and get a photo with Santa! If you haven’t visited our dog park yet, this is a wonderful chance to register and experience our welcoming space where dogs and their humans come together. WINEMUSIC AT GREYSTONE Don’t miss this elegant evening on December 11 & 12, at Greystone Mansion where WineMusic presents Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker Suite.” Enjoy a performance by an acclaimed concert pianist, paired with thoughtfully selected wines. Experience the magic in the acoustically stunning Greystone living room! HOLIDAYS IN THE LIBRARY The Beverly Hills Public Library has festive fun for all ages! Join us for Winter Tails Storytime on December 13, where children can interact with Nami, BHPD’s support dog, while hearing heartwarming stories. On December 23, teens and tweens can enjoy a special screening of “Home Alone” in the library auditorium. With so many exciting activities and opportunities to connect this holiday season, remember to take a moment for yourself to re ect on the past year and embrace the spirit of joy and gratitude.
