Menifee Matters - Community News & Activity Guide - Fall 2024

2 FALL 2024 Fall holidays are among my favorites, and one of the best is Thanksgiving. Having the opportunity to share a great meal with family and friends is a cherished tradition. It is also a time to reflect on the things we are thankful for. Personally, I am grateful for the privilege of serving as the city manager of our wonderful city. I am extremely thankful for Menifee being named among the safest cities in California. Our City Council has made a strong commitment to bolstering public safety by investing in our local police department and securing important resources for our fire department. These eorts continue to help reduce crime in our community and improve emergency response times. Read more on page 17. I am also thankful for the amazing community projects that are on the horizon, including the soon-to-be-open Holland Road Overpass that will provide a new east-to- west connection across the I-215 and help reduce tra‡c on Newport and Scott Roads. The Central Park Amphitheater is also well under construction and will provide an amazing concert venue for events and musical performances. Lastly, I am incredibly thankful for this wonderful community and all of those who continue to dedicate their time, talents, and experience to make Menifee a better place for our residents, businesses, and visitors. Your dedication and selflessness continue to be an inspiration to all of us and we are proud to serve you! CITY MANAGER’S MESSAGE Labor Day ..........................
