Learn more at: www.cityofmenifee.us/CERT MENIFEE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZ) are mandated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and are categorized into three levels: Moderate, High, and Very High. Factors such as fuel, slope, and fire weather determine the hazard classification. On March 24, 2025, the OSFM issued updated Local Responsibility Area FHSZ maps for Riverside County and pursuant to California Government Code Section 51179. On June 18, 2025, the Menifee City Council adopted the portion of the State Fire Marshal’s FHSZ map covering the City of Menifee (displayed on the right).
