SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS MENIFEE MATTERS 17 Menifee's Innovation District is part of the City’s initiative to promote purposeful planning. Located south of Scott Road, east of Howard Road, west of I-215, and north of Keller Road, the goal of the District is to enhance Menifee's economic development opportunities and create a framework that attracts a diverse range of high-quality jobs, amenities, and a distinctive community identity. This initiative aims to draw in new businesses and investments while providing residents with more living and entertainment options, ultimately diversifying Menifee's economic base for the benefit of both the community and the city. Menifee Innovation District Specific Plan is in the early stages, with stakeholders meeting regularly to address both opportunities and challenges. The improvements included widening 200 linear feet of the roadway, installing a crosswalk with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) just south of the high school’s northern entrance, extending the sidewalk, and adding an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramp. Overall, this project has created a safe crossing area for the high volume of pedestrian trac traveling to and from Paloma Valley High School. BRADLEY ROAD WIDENING NEAR PALOMA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL In support of the City’s Strategic Plan objective of enhancing safety infrastructure to improve the sense of security and well-being for residents, road improvements have been completed near Bell Mountain Middle School. The project, located along La Piedra Road between Antelope Road and Menifee Road, involved several improvements including repaving, restriping, bike lane enhancements, and the construction of a protected raised median. Additional features included the installation of a dual-arm streetlight, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, RRFBs, and six high visibility crosswalks within the project area. Overall, approximately 244,481 square feet of roadway was improved along La Piedra Road, covering a total length of 0.77 miles.
