If you or someone you know is ready for a rewarding career move, visit MenifeePolice.org/careers to learn more and apply today. ☑ Helmet Requirement: Riders under 18 must wear a helmet. ☑ No Headphones or Earbuds: The use of audio devices while operating an Electric Conveyance is prohibited. ☑ Visibility Enhancements: Electric Conveyances must have a front-facing white light for night riding, along with reflectors on both wheels and the rear of E-Bikes. ☑ Passenger Limits: Riders cannot carry more passengers than their Electric Conveyance is designed to accomodate. ☑ Speed Restrictions: Modified E-Bikes exceeding 28 mph are strictly prohibited from being operated on roadways, sidewalks, trails, or public property. The maximum speed allowed on public highways, trails, paths, parks, or other public spaces in the City is 20 mph. Electric conveyance vehicles including, electric bikes, skateboards, and scooters are becoming increasingly popular, leading to a noticeable rise in related collisions across Southern California. To enhance public safety, particularly for young riders, the new E-Bike Ordinance has gone into e ect with new safety regulations.
