City of Menifee Set to Break Ground on Bradley Road Bridge over Salt Creek The City of Menifee is preparing to begin construction on the Bradley Road Bridge over the Salt Creek Wash, with work scheduled to start in Summer 2025. This transformative project will deliver a new 365-foot, state-of-the-art bridge engineered to meet modern structural, seismic, and hydraulic standards. The new bridge is designed to mitigate flooding during storms, ensure safe and reliable north-south connectivity along Bradley Road, and enhance emergency response times for first responders serving the Menifee community. In addition to improved safety and flood protection, the two-lane bridge will feature dedicated bike lanes and sidewalks in both directions, supporting a more accessible and multimodal transportation network. To facilitate construction, Bradley Road will be fully closed at the Salt Creek Wash between Rio Vista Drive and Potomac Drive for approximately one year beginning in Summer 2025. This closure is essential to ensure worker safety in this environmentally sensitive area and to accommodate the limited space available. See map for alternate routes. Due to tight commercial and residential constraints, and strict environmental protections for the Salt Creek Wash, a temporary bypass road is not feasible. Constructing the bridge one lane at a time is also not possible under current site conditions. BRADLEY ROAD CLOSURE EXTENDED 8 The Salt Creek Trail will remain open throughout construction, although a segment near Bradley Road will be temporarily detoured through the surrounding neighborhood. Upon completion of the project, trail access and the existing tra c signal will be restored to their current configurations. This $19 million infrastructure investment is fully funded through a combination of federal programs, the County of Riverside Flood Control, the Local Transportation Climate Adaptation Program (LTCAP), the City of Menifee’s Quality of Life Measure, and other local funding sources.
