11 MENIFEE MATTERS MENIFEE RECYCLES MENIFEE BUSINESS RECYCLING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The City has allocated grant funding to assist our local businesses with implementing state compliant recycling programs. The grant award is $1000 reimbursement for things like recycling bins, signage, recyclable service ware, training for your sta , etc. Proof of payment and quick application form required. Also available is a free on-site consultation by a city environmental consultant to help review and o er suggestions for your current program, cost-saving strategies, food waste prevention, and training sta . EXPANDED FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM The Menifee Valley Community Cupboard (MVCC) has expanded its food distribution program into Quail Valley and Romoland. 2ND FRIDAY OF THE MONTH 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (while supplies last) Quail Valley Boys and Girls Club 23890 La Bertha Ln. 4TH FRIDAY OF THE MONTH 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (while supplies last) Eller Park 25926 Antelope Rd. If your business would like to establish a free food donation collection, please contact MVCC at (951) 301-4414. Low-income families welcome. No cost to participate. Proof of address requested. ECOHERO PROGRAM NOWAVAILABLE FOR MENIFEE SCHOOLS EcoHero School Presentations are now available in Menifee thanks to a special grant from CalRecycle! The City of Menifee is sponsoring the EcoHero program at a limited number of schools. These high- energy 40-minute shows are filled with music, dancing, and students learning to care for the planet with Mr. Eco! To schedule EcoHero to visit your school, administrators may email Waste_Recycle@cityofmenifee.us or contact EcoHero team directly at ecoheroshow.com For smaller groups, the Menifee Recycles Team can also come out to individual classrooms!
