8 WINTER 2024 The Holland Road I-215 Overpass project built a new four-lane bridge over Interstate 215 from Haun Road to Hanover Lane. The project's main goal was to reduce trac at both the Newport Road and Scott Road interchange by providing a new east-to-west connection for drivers to access commercial and residential areas on both sides of I-215. Additionally, the project included new multi-modal access over I-215, making it safer and more convenient for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross the freeway, aligning with the City’s Active Transportation Program goals. Other project components include the installation of two new trac signals on Holland Road at Haun Road and Hanover Lane, construction of mechanically stabilized earth retaining walls on the east side, and improvements to drainage, irrigation, and landscaping. Additional work to finalize the project will continue through February 2025 while the Holland Road Overpass remains open to the public. HOLLAND ROAD I 215 OVERPASS NOWOPEN!
