McDaniel “Aristotle McDaniel, the heart and soul behind GPL-Grandparents Love, a nonprofit born out of compassion and a sense of responsibility. His grandparents, Jim and Marie McDaniel, lovingly stepped in to raise their daughter’s children, becoming the inspiration for Aristotle’s journey. His admiration for his grandfather, who heroically raised three toddlers after his grandmother’s passing, sparked a commitment to make a di¦erence. A pivotal moment in Aristotle’s life occurred during his weekly tradition of treating his grandfather to pancakes and co¦ee at Denny’s – a special “Grandfather’s weekly break.” Observing the challenges his grandfather faced led Aristotle to question the lack of support from the coun- ty for grandparents facing similar struggles, sending him on a journey that would give rise to GPL-Grandparents Love. After eight years of dedicated saving, Aristotle joyfully launched GPL on December 1, 2022. Despite his full-time role as the Regional Manager for Direct Source Distributing, a promotional and printing company, Aristotle remains deeply connected to GPL’s mission. His dedication extends beyond GPL as he actively collaborates with other nonprofits, o¦ering discounted promotional and printing services. Through heartfelt partnerships with organizations like CVRM, Variety, One Future, and NPO Centric, Aristotle passionately supports those who tirelessly serve their communities. In addition to his work with GPL, Aristotle serves on the Alzheimer’s Advisory Council in Palm Desert. Reflecting on his journey, it’s a bittersweet reality that his grandparents couldn’t witness GPL’s beginning. Fueled by the sacrifices of his grandparents, Aristotle sees his work as a heartfelt calling to assist these unsung heroes in every possible way, ensuring that their invaluable contributions to society are recognized with the warmth and gratitude they truly deserve.
