HELP US BUILD THE DESERT’S MOST COMPREHENSIVE PET CENTER WHAT IS ANIMAL SAMARITANS DOING? We are building a new state-of-the-art Pet Adoption and Humane Education Center for the Coachella Valley. WHY? We’ve outgrown our small no-kill shelter on Ramon Road. We’re in need of a facility that can house more animals, accommodate dogs of all sizes, allows for robust on-site exercise and training, and is better designed for the care and comfort of animals who need us. WHERE? We are building the Center adjacent to our Thousand Palms Veterinary Clinic on Pet Land Place at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus and it will have space for up to 40 dogs of all sizes and up to 40 cats. When this project is complete, we will have over 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space dedicated to animals. WHEN? We have secured our contractor, architect, and engineering consultants and plan to start construction in 2024. HOWMUCHWILL THE PROJECT COST? Our projected cost is $11 million. We are a debt-free organization and have raised more than $8 million dollars for the new Center. WHAT ELSE? The Center will feature a Humane Education Center and multi- purpose room to teach pet safety, pet ownership, and anti- bullying anti-cruelty lessons for youngsters. We’ll hold Summer Critter Camps and special events here as well. The adoption center will feature a covered dog park for dogs of all sizes, large central cat housing, multiple cat cubicles and an enclosed cat patio. We’re also renovating and expanding our Thousand Palms veterinary clinic to provide more veterinary services and help more animals. For more information, contact Jarred L.
