By prioritizing empathy and active listening, our healthcare providers understand the unique needs of individuals, fostering an inclusive environment. When patients are seen, their identities and experiences are acknowledged, which builds trust. Being heard strengthens communication, allowing for collaborative decision-making in care plans. Finally, ažrmation validates patients’ feelings and choices, empowering them in their healthcare journey. Through these principles, DAP Health drives meaningful change, enhancing patient satisfaction and improving overall health outcomes within all communities. DAVID W. BRYANT Tools for Tomorrow TFT Philanthropist Making A Di erence Tools for Tomorrow is proud to honor David W. Bryant for his longtime support of our free, after-school arts literacy program throughout Coachella Valley. Once again David is Event Sponsor for our gala dinner show February 24th honoring KESQ’s Patrick Evans. As a businessman, David recognizes Tools For Tomorrow’s fiscal responsibility for over 25 years. His generosity has allowed Tools For Tomorrow to expand our program, which integrates art, music, theatre and creative writing, allowing children ages 8 to 11 to explore their creativity, to feel seen, to develop communication skills and to nurture teamwork – building “tools for tomorrow” to help ensure their future success! DOMINICK A. CALVANO Alzheimers Coachella Valley (ACV) President & Co-Founder Making A Di erence For the past 15 years, I have been working in the in-home care business. I realized that there were more services and programs needed for our Coachella Valley residents and, along with Pat Kaplan and Edie Keller, decided to form Alzheimers Coachella Valley. Seven years later, we have seen tremendous growth as the need for our free dementia support programs has grown. Each month we reach hundreds of individuals through the ACV Screening Center, Support Groups, Social Groups, Caregiver Education Classes and Respite Care Scholarships.. DAVID CATANZARITE Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley Executive Artistic Director Making A Di erence We believe access to theatre isn’t a privilege; it’s a right. Now in our 16th season, we’re the only company in the region that tours professional theatre and ballet folklorico–and provides a–ordable training– for people in their local neighborhoods. Tickets are “pay-what-you can”. Over the years we’ve broadened our o–erings to include hard-hitting shows for adults, such as our recent award-winning production of Displacement: Stories from Section 14. I’m proud to say donors have enabled us to provide over $96,000 in paid internships, scholarships, and free tickets to children and adults throughout the desert. FELICE CHIAPPERINI Desert Oasis Healthcare Community Development Specialist Making A Di erence Partnering with local nonprofits, senior centers, and other community agencies, Desert Oasis Healthcare continues to provide both financial support and health services to help improve the lives of our residents. Our Mobile Health Clinic travels to partner locations throughout the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin, providing important health screenings, flu vaccines and boosters, all at no cost. We continue to grow our commitment to helping support our nonprofit partners who do so much good for so many in our community, including the 60,000 members of Desert Oasis Healthcare. PAUL CLOWERS The Development Department Principal Making A Di erence As founder and principal of The Development Department Inc., I’ve dedicated my career to making a positive impact in the Coachella Valley and beyond. I work with nonprofits to connect donors with impactful missions, design strategic fundraising campaigns, and create meaningful events that drive change. Recent projects include fundraising initiatives for the Palm Springs AIDS Memorial, the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Variety Chil- dren’s Charity of the Desert, Jewish Federation of the Desert, LGBTQ+ organizations and many nonprofits crucial to the valley. By aligning resources with community needs, I help organizations grow and thrive, empowering them to enhance lives and strengthen the bonds that bring us together.
