The Foothill boys varsity im- proved to 8-4, with a 42-31 win over Tustin. Foothill’s Tyler Valdez, in white, keeps the ball away from the Mater Dei pack. Kai Nixon (1) blocks the shot against Tustin High. Isaiah Bernard (11) and Aidan Parkyn (25), in the middle, control the rebound with Lorenzo Turner (10) guarding the outside. Jacob Garcia from Foothill High dribbles the ball up field. Foothill had three scoring opportunities in the first half against Mater Dei, but came up empty in the pre-sea- son contest.
