To mark its 45th year, the architecture firm’s 300 employees rallied throughout December to raise money to benefit the more than 1,000 families that the Friendly Center serves each year. AO has partnered with the Friendly Center for the past six years. To date, the firm has collected more than 45,000 food items and raised more than $30,000 to assist the households that face hunger each day. The Women’s Fellowship of Covenant Presbyterian Church features the Dizzy Biz Duo of Orange County on Thurs., Feb. 20. The duo of Marilyn Mac on violin, ukulele, harmonica and vocals, and Gary Medeiros on guitar and vocals, covers a lot of musical territory, including pop, rock, blues, Americana and R&B from such artists as the Beatles; Crosby, Stills and Nash; Norah Jones; Tom Petty; Paul Simon; Melissa Etheridge; Ray Charles; the Eagles; Etta James; Jason Mraz and Ed Sheeran. The Dizzy Biz Duo has been performing with local bands in restaurants, wineries, and hotels in Southern California since the early 80s. The program is open to the community, and will be pre- sented in St. Andrews Hall on the church campus, 1855 Or- ange-Olive Road. Doors open at 11 a.m., with a catered lunch served at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is $10 per person; reservations may be made with the church office, (714) 998-6650, and are required by noon on Fri., Feb. 14. There is a $5 charge for those who prefer to attend the program only, payable at the door. Child- care for infants and toddlers is available upon request, with a sack lunch for each child provid- ed by the parent. Dizzy Biz Duo performing at Covenant Church “Who Killed Dusty Dan,” a murder mystery luncheon fund- raiser sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Orange, will be held on Sat., March 7. Social hour will commence at 10 a.m., followed by the mystery and a high noon three-course luncheon. Tickets are $45, and must be purchased prior to Feb. 29; call Pat Longwell at (714) 501-2246.
