Coach Rylie Seip COMMUNITY SPORTS BY CLIFF ROBBINS AND CHAD CLINE Stallings takes the helm at SCC Santiago Canyon College selected one of its former standout players to guide the Hawks this season. Danielle Stallings was named head coach for the women’s softball program. Athletic Director Martin Stringer said Stallings had served as an outstanding assistant coach since July of 2022, acting as the team’s pitching coach and strength and conditioning coach under former head coaches Lisa Camarco and Brandice Cutspec. Stallings played for Santiago Canyon College in 2018, transferred to Stanislaus State, and later played for the University of Redlands Bulldogs. During her time with the Bulldogs, she was named the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Pitcher of the Year, made the All-SCIAC First Team (2021), and the AllSCIAC Second Team (2022). She earned Division III Pitcher of the Year honors twice and was recognized as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete in 2018. Assisting Stallings is Rylie Seip from Canyon High School. Seip played at Santiago Canyon, where she was honored as AllAmerican. Seip went on to play at Long Beach State.
