T R A T T O R I A Speaker, author, and creator of Welcome Heart Ministries in San Luis Obispo, Sue Moore Don- aldson will be the guest speaker at the Covenant Presbyterian Church Women’s Fellowship Luncheon on Thurs., March 19. Donaldson’s topic will be “Mentoring as a Way of Life,” helping others to grow their faith. Her talk will touch the hearts of people who want to “grow some- thing besides old.” It promises to enrich those who yearn for a deeper relationship with God, their neighbors and community. Doors open at 11 a.m.; the ca- tered luncheon, $10 per person and payable in advance, begins at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are not required to attend the program only, which starts at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $5 at the door. Reservations for the luncheon may be made after worship ser- vices on March 7 or 14, or by calling the church office at (714) 998-6650 prior to noon on Mon., March 16. The program is open to the community, and will be held on the church campus in St. An- drews Hall, 1855 N. Orange-Ol- ive Road. Covenant presents “Mentoring with Sue Moore Donaldson” The Tustin Area Historical So- ciety will host its 24th annual Old Town Tustin Home and Garden Tour, themed “The Heart of Tus- tin – Home Grown,” on Sat., May 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tour-goers will stroll through the city’s Old Town area and view the vintage homes and gar- dens that have been revamped into modern living spaces, while maintaining the charm of yester- year. Each home has a unique sto- ry, interesting décor, and artifacts collected by its owners. In addition to the tour, other activities include a guided Old Town history walking tour, vin- tage vehicle displays, a large quilt show by the Flying Geese Quilting Guild, old-time May- pole dancing performances, a craft marketplace, a gardening talk, live music, and a guided tree walk with landscape architect Guy Stivers. Horse-drawn trolleys will pro- vide a unique ambiance and trans- portation between most homes. Tickets are $30 the day of the event, $25 in advance. Explore vintage homes and gardens in Tustin The Knights of Columbus of St. Norberts Church will again offer tickets for its very popular authentic Hawaiian Luau, slated for Sat., May 2, beginning at 4:30 p.m., 300 E. Taft Avenue. The Kalua Imu Pig unveiling will be at 5:30 p.m., with entertainment commencing after dinner. The Knight’s second annual fundraising feast will feature Lokelani’s Rhythm of the Islands, happy hour, raffles and a photo booth. The Kalua pork will be ac- companied by Hawaiian chicken, roasted yams, salads, tropical fruit, Haupia and cakes, bever- ages, mai tais and margaritas. Tickets are $50 for adults un- til April 24; $60, between April 25 – 30. Children under 12 are $35. Table sponsorships are $500.
