Heads of the class heralded “She Beat The Fire (IRE)” is a five-year-old 15.3hh hunter/ jumper with lovely gaits and nat- ural athleticism. Sheba came to CARMA in February 2019 and is a survivor of the Lilac Fire, which is how she got her name. She retired unraced, but with multiple recorded works. Sheba has received retraining both un- der saddle and ground manners. She has a great young mind and has been used occasionally in a lesson program for intermediate adolescent riders. She would be a great project horse for an ambi- tious teen in a training program, as she is forgiving of mistakes and keeps her cool. Sheba has been started over fences, light- ly coursing, and has both lead changes. She is good on trail -- she does best in a group, but has also gone alone. She trailers nicely, does well off property, cross ties, lunges, stands nicely for the farrier, leads quietly and has no vices. Her adoption price is a tax-deductible donation to California Retirement Manage- ment Account (CARMA). For information, see carma4horses. org.
