Foothill entered the state playoffs with two on the road wins, one being a big win over Carlsbad, 96-95, in the quarter finals. A 16-point second half performance from Braedyn Benhard, combined with eight points from Cruz Billings, pulled out a 69-64 semi-finals win over Rancho Cucamonga, propelling Foothill to the 2AA state title to face Elk Grove, the Northern CIF winner. Foothill (31-4) fell to Elk Grove, 56-62, in the finals. Cruz Billings led the Knights in scoring with 23 points, followed by his brother Carlo Billings with 11, and Jacob Horton with 10 points.
