Damien Parker from Villa Park, Santiago Canyon College's second leading scorer, drives the lane against Hancock College in the state playoffs. Parker scored six points. El Modena High girls pom team captured second place in the recent California state competition. Foothill (2-3-1, 17-6-6), represented the Crestview League in the Division 2 Boys Soccer playoffs. Foothill advanced to the CIF-State Div. 3 Playoffs. Canyon High School was well-represented by these women athletes at the annual Sally Reclusado Women in Sports Conference, Feb. 26. The annual event started over 20 years ago by Reclusado and other athletic directors and coaches to celebrate Title IX, and empower and inspire female athletes. The event is sponsored by the Orange County Athletic Directors Association.
