The larvae are in the bark. They are 2 cm long, white and legless. Adults are 1 cm in length, bullet shaped with gold spots. Treat. Spray infected oaks. Protect other oaks with special treatments. CPOC explores “election integrity” The Conservative Patriots of Orange County’s (CPOC) final meeting of the spring, June 20, will feature a report from its Elec- tion Integrity Committee (EIC) and its work with the Board of Supervisors and the Registrar of Voters on voter rolls. The meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge, 1751 S. Elk St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. A buffet dinner will be served. Art tour highlights canyon artists Artists in Silverado and Modjeska Canyons shared their work during the Canyon Art Stu- dio Tour, May 18. Visitors were invited to drive up and down both canyon roads, stopping at marked stations that featured pottery, photography, paintings, metal and stone sculpture and mixed media. Eric Gunther and Kila wandered among the cluster of wares offered at stops at the far end of Silverado Canyon Road. Casey Parlette’s metal and stone sculptures, he says, mirror the natu- ral world. VP Library hosts summer reading and fun Summer Reading begins in June at Villa Park Library. In ad- dition to the continuing programs, there will be special events for all ages. The “No Stress Book Club,” designed for adults to share their latest, greatest reads with others, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., June 22. OPA members can shred for free. Non-members are $5 per box. The parking lot is located near the corner of Santiago Can- yon Road and Orange Park Blvd.
