To earn the medal, students must per- form 10 memorized pieces each year, for ten years, before a National Guild Audition Judge and receive superior scores. Nguyen is a Foothill Hill School gradu- ate, and has studied music at the Carolyn Biller Piano Studio in North Tustin for 13 years.
