To learn more about the guilds, See SCFTA.org , OABB wins big at fair Local members of the Orange Acres Back Breakers 4-H Club were grateful to be able to show off the animals they had raised at the Orange County Fair – the culmination of months of hard work. The format was different than in prior years, with Market Livestock Week held before the fair opened to the public. There were fewer entries than normal, spectators were restricted, and auction prices were very low, due in part to the change to an online auction format. But the OABB youth swept the poultry awards, and earned ribbons with their beef, dairy, goat and hog projects. Showing their ribbons are OABB 4-H Club members Mika Horan and Zaro; Lexx Pearlman and Allie; Ella Rojas and Hattie; and Logan Sara and Brownie. From left, Andrew Croopnick with Ivy; Erin Mongan with Biscuit and Gravy; and Katelyn Lingren with Tilly. Erin Mongan and Biscuit placed second in Senior Showmanship, qualifying for Senior Master Showmanship, where they placed third. OABB swept the poultry category: from left, Bryson Sara won Grand Champion Market Broilers and Reserve Grand Champion Market Tur- key; William Gallegos took Reserve Grand Champion Market Broil- ers; and Erin Mongan (with a judge) won Grand Champion Market Turkey. From left, OABB member Madilyn Tucker and Millie; Jaz Jacobs, Kai- tlyn Lingren, and Ava Steward-Puga with Piggy Smalls. Members not pictured: Burklee Kuehn and Mary Piggins; Landon Mills and Traeger. Erin Mongan with her beef heifer Biscuit. This was Mongan’s 12th and last year in 4-H.
