Astrophysicist will unveil the universe at Celebrity Speakers series The Crescendo Chapter of the Guilds of Segerstrom Center will feature Astrophysicist Rod Pyle and a presentation of “A Month on Mars” at its Celebrity Speak- ers Series on Thursday, Nov. 9. Pyle is Editor-in-Chief of “Ad Astra,” the magazine of the National Space society. He has written for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and authored 20 books on spaceflight for Smithsonian Books. He hosted and produced “This Week in Space,” and appears regularly on radio and TV, including William Shatner’s “UnXplained.” His goal is to make complex topics in space technology understandable to the general public. The presentation will begin at 10 a.m. at the Bower’s Museum, 2002 N. Main Street. Tickets are $40, general admission, and $35 for Bower’s members.
