Foothills Sentry Page 16 September 2023 During her life Belle helped raise thousands of dollars for animal shelters and pet charities through costume contests and sponsorships. In her memory, we are raising money for Orange County Animal Allies. A non-profit Charity dedicted to helping animals in need. In honor of Belle and of every special furry companion- we ask you please consider donating to this amazing Charity today. Remember to give your pet a little extra hug today- as each day with them is a gift. On August 7th at 6:22- we lost our beloved Belle to Pneumonia. She brought so much joy to everyone she met. We miss our Lil Belle so much as she was our heart and soul. She was always around Orange at all the events. She loved coming to the office greeting everyone with a smile and a tail wag. We will always love you Belle. The dairy heifer 4-Hers, Ava Steward-Puga with Rosie, Grace Kahn with Jenny, Logan Sara with Skittle and Mika Horan with Azalea, were unable to compete, through no fault of their own. At the last minute, the OC Fair cancelled dairy heifers, citing not enough entrants in the class. The members were heartbroken after nurturing their animals for many months. They not only lost their time, but also approximately $1,000 worth of feed and supplies each, and their hope of recouping their investment and adding to their savings for future projects and college. OABB 4-H, led by Community Club Leader Jaimee Rojas and Melissa Sara, also offers other projects, including cake decorating, dog care and training, and Cloverbuds for youth ages 5-19.
