Orange Election 2020 District 1 As a lifelong resident and small business owner in District 1, I am passionate about Orange. I am run- ning for City Council because it is my firm belief that serving my fellow residents is the highest form of community service. I’ve dedicated my life to vol- unteerism in Orange, having served on the boards of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, Community Foundation of Orange, GOCATAdvisory Board, and Pitcher Park Community Foundation, among others. My goals, if elected, are to protect public safety, address homelessness and grow our economy in a way that balances the needs of small businesses and our residents’ quality of life. I’ve dedicated my adult life to public service, having served eight years in the Army and the last 23 years in law enforcement. As a detective, I’m a court-certified expert in domestic violence and el- der abuse. I’ve served as an Orange traffic commis- sioner for the last nine years. I obtained a master’s degree in public administration. As an educator and certified law enforcement instructor, I teach many of today’s youth at the college level.
