Home Grown cookbook now available Orange Home Grown Founda- tion, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that manages the weekly farmers’ market and education farm in the City of Orange, has officially released its first cookbook, “The Orange Home Grown Commu- nity Cookbook.” The 277-page cookbook was produced by Orange Home Grown Executive Director Megan Penn, Creative Manager Paul Sargaent, board member Aimee Armstrong, and supporting board members. It contains 84 seasonal recipes, information for cultivating an abundant kitchen garden, farmers’ market vendor features, local restaurant highlights, as well as accounts of the agricultural history of the City of Orange. The recipes and stories in the book were lovingly gathered by Orange Home Grown members, volunteers and the local community to further the organization's mission in sharing healthy food and food values with the public. “It’s more than a cookbook. It’s a celebration of simple, local food and Orange's agricultural roots,” says Aimee Armstrong. The cookbook is available now and can be purchased at the Saturday Orange Home Grown Farmers and Artisan Market in a hardcover format, or on Amazon in a soft cover format for $45. All proceeds benefit the Orange Home Grown Foundation. https:// amzn.to/3Dy210L Co-creators Aimee Armstrong, Megan Penn and Paul Sargaent shop for ingredients at the Orange Home Grown Farmers and Artisan Market for a cookbook tasting and photoshoot.
