Go to villapark.org/marines , and click on the button that says Adopt a Marine. The program's goal is for fami- lies to adopt over 100 Marines – many far from home for the first time, unable to be with their own families on this holiday. Fami- lies in Villa Park, Orange and Anaheim Hills are asked to set extra plates at their Thanksgiving table, and give these young Ma- rines a day of relaxation and fam- ily. Holy Family School will hold a holiday boutique on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will be over 30 vendors offering holiday gift and décor items, plus a bake sale and raffle baskets. Holy Family's eighth grade students will be taking orders for holiday poinsettias to help fund the school's annual trip to Wash- ington D.C. The event will be held in the Parish Center, 530 S. The program provides gifts and spe- cial request items to low-income senior citizens and severely dis- abled adults. Santa Ana Elks Lodge 794 Scholarship Committee has pub- lished this year's scholarship of- ferings. There are nine categories of scholarships available, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. The cat- egories cover academic and voca- tional pursuits, athletics, students with disabilities, Elk family mem- bers and emergency grants. The finances are managed by the Villa Park Community Ser- vices Foundation.
