Interested parties can watch the virtual grand open- ing on Orange Unified School District's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/ OrangeUnifiedCA. Fred Kelly Stadium was dedi- cated in 1969 and has served gen- erations of OUSD students. The stadium is a community icon, set in the very center of the City of Orange and OUSD. In late 2018, OUSD held "clos- ing ceremonies" for the historic stadium and prepared for a total renovation. The completely re- built stadium is ADA compliant and features advanced technol- ogy, including a Bose sound sys- tem, state-of-the-art Jumbotron, and custom-configured high effi- ciency LED lighting. OUSD looks forward to wel- coming future generations of stu- dents, athletes, and community members for decades to come. OHS Science Center to open The Orange High School STEM Complex, built with Mea- sure S funds, is the first of the four new high school science centers to open. OUSD will host an of- ficial ribbon-cutting ceremony in mid-November before welcom- ing students into the state-of-the- art facility on November 16. Villa Park High's project has delays due to late-season rain causing serious soil saturation issues and delays with the struc- tural steel critical path. Angeles is finalizing steel correction for con- tinuity, setting steel for the decks, grade beams, columns, footings, and has set interior utility line runs on the new science center building. The new pick-up and drop-off areas are complete, and the district is coordinating with the City of Villa Park on street signs and traffic improvements. The building is anticipated to be available for occupancy in Spring 2021. Canyon High School's Science Center is having structural steel set in place, and the building is on schedule to be completed by Fall 2021.
