The November General Meeting will be hosted at the Duchess on Cambridge in Orange. This “Jingle & Mingle” meeting offers a chance to meet with friends and get a head start on holiday shopping The Community Holiday For- est, located in front of Villa Park City Hall, will return on Dec.1. Beautiful and uniquely themed holiday trees will be decorated by individual VPWL activity groups: Petal Pushers, Bunco, Pickleball, Stitchery, Gourmet and Newcom- ers. Villa Park Sheriff’s Depart- ment, VP Rotary, Friends of the Library, thee Community Servic- es Foundation, and City of Villa Park will also be decorating trees for the forest. Tree lighting rites return The annual Tree Lighting and Candlelight Choir Procession in the Orange Plaza will kick off the holiday season, beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. CPOC presents Fantasy of Trees The Conservative Patriots of OC invite the community to its annual Fantasy of Trees holiday event, to be held on Saturday, Dec. 2. The event features a luncheon, drawings for pre-decorated trees, a silent auction, opportunity draw- ing, door prizes and free parking. Santa Claus will be there, too. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course Club House. Tickets are $75; a table of 10 is $700. Salem presents a Ladies’ Holiday Boutique & Luncheon Salem Lutheran Church invites the women of the community to a free Ladies' Holiday Boutique and Luncheon, to be held on Sat- urday, Nov. 11. Shopping with unique vendors commences at 9 a.m. and will pause at 11 a.m. for a free lun- cheon. The meal will be served by the Church’s Handsome Help- ers, feature live music from Or- ange Lutheran High’s Bel Canto Women’s Choir and a keynote by Christian author Donna Jones. Library Foundation Legacy Awards Gala coming The Orange Public Library Foundation’s annual Legacy Awards & Celebration will be held Sun., Nov. 25 at the Sandhu Conference Center at Chapman University. Beginning at 3 p.m., the event features entertainment, bever- ages, a silent and live auction and dinner. The organizations to be recognized for “crushing it” are the Community Foundation of Orange, Orange/Villa Park Chap- ter of National Charity League, and Assistance League of Or- ange. Deck the holidays in Villa Park The Villa Park Community Services Foundation welcomes everyone to ring in the holiday early this year. Santa will join the VP City Council “elves” and tour the town by OCFD Fire Engine, on Satur- day, Dec. 2. The holiday hero loves listen- ing to wishes and giving sweet treats to good little boys and girls, as well as posing for photos with them. Santa and his crew will make 31 neighborhood stops around the Hidden Jewel. “Jingle Around the Park” is the theme of the 25thAnnual Dryland Boat Parade on Sunday, Dec. 10. It will begin at Villa Park High at 5 p.m. A “boat” is loosely described as anything that can be towed or driven up to five miles per hour. Gather family and friends, team members or organization groups to decorate a vessel and ‘jingle’ all the way around the city's "as- phalt harbor." Be sure to register your float at VP City Hall before Dec. 7. Your crew might win a coveted award for the decor of your craft.
