Girls flag football and volleyball compete in CIF playoffs This is the first year of playoffs for girls flag football. In Divi- sion 2, the El Modena High team (11-6-0), under first year coach Steve Tafua, captured third place in the Freeway League and faced Crean Lutheran High School (15-6-0). In Division 1, Canyon High School (16-2-0) captured the Freeway League title and traveled to first round playoffs at JSerra High School (20-6-0). In girls volleyball, Canyon High School (15-8-7) was the lone qualifier, taking third place in the Crestview League. In the first round of the playoffs, Can- yon faced fifth-ranked Dana Hills (15-10) in Division 3.
