It was the first big event at the center since it re- opened after the pandemic. Meals on Wheels Orange County. The Orange Senior Center is fully open, with a schedule of events tailored to the needs and interests of residents over 60. Meals on Wheels is serving lunch every day, Monday through Fri- day at noon. The first annual kickoff meet- ing of the Conservative Patriots of Orange County is Thursday, Jan. 19. Since its inaugural meet- ing last January, the organization has grown to over 270 members. The board election was held at the Nov. 17 meeting, with Debo- rah Pauly elected president; Mar- tha Ming, vice president; and Lisa Franks, secretary. The treasurer position is open. Officers will serve through 2023. The January meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner served by Elks Lodge chefs at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, 1751 S. Lyon St. Dinner is $30 per person. Conservative Patriots of Orange to meet Jan. 19 Young entrepreneur invents product for sports gloves Gavin Batarse, a seven-year- old North Tustin entrepreneur, created a better way to break in and shape baseball, softball and hockey goalie gloves. Gavin loves playing baseball more than anything. He and his dad/baseball coach Jon Batarse were looking for an effective way to break in and shape his new baseball glove.
