North Hills League First Team: Carol Faafoi (Villa Park) and Audrey Lee (Foothill). Girls Volleyball Crestview League First Team: Ella Irwin (12, OH, Foothill, Most Valuable Player), Kiara Eng (12, S, Foothill). Crestview League Second Team: Carter Meyers (11, S/OP, Foothill), Haley Langdon (10, MB, Foothill). North Hills League First Team: Chloe Nguyen (12, LIB, Canyon Most Valuable Player), and Taylor Walsh (12, MB, Vil- la Park, Most Valuable Player). Sydney Valentine (12, OH, Can- yon), Rowan Dillard (12, OH, Canyon), Natalee Chantana (12, SET, Villa Park), Paige Matson (12, OH, Villa Park), Angelina Solis (12, OH, El Modena) and Nikki Monfared (11, MB, Can- yon). North Hills League First Team: Drew Herbel (12, Attack- er, Canyon, Most Valuable Play- er). Luke Kornely (12, UTL, Can- yon), Jacob Winsberg (11, Center Def, Canyon), Aidan Demkiw (12, GK, Canyon), Ian Jones (12, UTL, Villa Park), Nathan Grove (12, Attacker, Villa Park) and Nolan Wyser (11, Center Def, El Modena). North Hills League Second Team: Adam Hermreck (12, Cen- ter, Canyon), Jacob Gayer (12, Attacker, Canyon), Gavin Mead (11, Attacker, Villa Park), Garrett Ian Jones (Villa Park in black) guards Bruno Masa in the San Juan Hills Division 2 CIF Boys Water Polo game. Villa Park was elimi- nated, 11-6. Canyon High School (26-5) accepted the runner-up trophy in Division 3 Boys Water Polo Championship. Canyon won the game, 12-6, in the quarterfinals in the Division 3 Water Polo Playoffs. Luke Kornely takes a shot on goal against Roosevelt High in the Di- vision 3 Playoff game. Kornely scored two goals in the 12-6 rout of Roosevelt. Aidan Demkiw, goalkeeper for Canyon High School, was busy block- ing 11 El Segundo shots in the CIF Water Polo Finals. Canyon lost, 15-11. Girls Tennis Crestview League First Team: Anika Guniganti (9, Villa Park, Most Valuable Player), Kate Jensen (12, Foothill, Most Valu- able Player) and Hannah Le (12, Foothill, Most Valuable Player). Morgan Shaffer (12, Villa Park), Maddy Posner (12, Foothill), Abigail Tweedt (12, Foothill), Danica Cho (9, Foothill), Na- thalie Nguyen (11, Foothill) and Shayne Gogley (11, Foothill).
