Successful completion of this in-person class prepares you to take the Competency Examination, to earn you a CNA certification. Earn Mission College credits to continue your nursing education. English Language Learners may be eligible to take classes for a reduced fee. Basic Requirements Be 18 yrs of age or older Have a Social Security or ITIN card Have a valid government-issued photo ID Driver’s license, state ID card, U.S. passport Have English language proficiency at the Advanced level. Reading test may be required depending on the students’ English language level. Health Requirements Physical exam and required immunizations, which include: Measle, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) Varicella (Chickenpox) Hepatitis B TDAP vaccine within 10 years COVID vaccines, including booster Tuberculosis (TB) clearance Quantiferon blood test (less than 1 yr old) OR Chest x-ray (taken within the last 2 years) that documents no signs of active TB.
