FUHSD Adult School - Winter 2023-2024

1923 In 1923, FUHSD Adult School began evening classes at Fremont High School to prepare adults for U.S. Citizenship . 1964 - 1972 Over 450 high school diplomas were awarded to adults between 1964 and 1972. Classes were held at 10 locations in Sunnyvale and Cupertino including at the Parent Participation Preschool 2000s In the early 2000's our ESL enrollment grew along with the number of classes in computer labs. The Medical Pathways program began and our Community Interest program grew. 1945 Classes for sailors returning fromWWIImilitaryservice in1945wereheldatMoffett Field toenable the veterans to resume their highschool diplomaclasses. 1980 FUHSD Adult School began career preparation classes in machine tools, electronics and business communication technology. 2023 The new District Office building finished completion in 2021 and with it brought a Brand new Adult School with state of the art facilities to better serve out diverse student population going in to the next 100 years.
