52 Formally known as the High Performance Building Zone, this unique space on the exhibit floo will again provide attendees with industry-best expertise for building more durable, energy efficient higher-quality homes—but given the unique challenges faced by our industry, we’ve expanded this year’s learning to include efficiencie that can be found in additional areas of the construction process: use and types of materials including offsite systems, labor, jobsite productivity, construction speed, cost and more. Ben Bogie, a second-generation high-performance builder from New England, will lead the Building Zone demonstrations, and will be joined by a host of leading builders and influencers Zone Sponsors T H E BUILDING Z ON E Ben Bogie The Demonstration Stage: The How-To Through a series of live, interactive demonstrations, attendees will be led through the steps for constructing various building components using the latest methods in high performance building techniques and construction efficiency. The Building Display Area: The Hands-On Full size displays of walls, roofs and other components and techniques shown on the Demo stage will be created and placed throughout the Zone. This hands-on area will round out the learning experience by showing the real-world application of all that has been addressed through the week and by allowing attendees to inspect construction details and products more closely. The Presentation Stage: The Why This stage will feature interactive talks that dive deeper into the techniques and best practices addressed on the Demo Stage. Experts and influencers will also address the latest research and trends, providing attendees with a look at what’s next in high performance building and construction efficiency. The Building Zone will feature the following three distinct learning areas.
