We wanted to share one of our most recent renovation projects here in Palm Desert with Kempa Collection Luxury Retreats owned by Virgin Atlantic. This 5.1-acre property features a main house that we completely remodeled. They needed to take this luxury home and turn it into a serviceable luxury Airbnb rental for the rich and famous. Some of the great design features we incorporated into the project was turning the existing kitchen into a service kitchen, removing the existing structures and building a service room behind the kitchen where dishes, laundry and all other service needs are hidden from the guests. Another major feature besides the 48 x 48 porcelain tile flooring and the prep work going into getting the base flooring level throughout the entire house, was the custom bar and one-piece stone back board to match the size of the wall and then counter sunk shelves and added lighting. A few others features we did was removing the swamp coolers from the main room and replacing them with large picture windows. In the dining room we made a giant beautiful stone ceramic pedestal table that was made from two giant slabs and can accommodate 18 people at one time very comfortably. Being an Airbnb we also had to close o„ all the additional bedrooms that had double access from the outside and those turned into separate suites for individual rentals.
