D E S I G N + B U I L D Lindsay has been designing, remodeling homes and commercial spaces for 25 years. She works with every clients personal taste, style and budget. Whether it's one room or a full home. No detail is overlooked. What advice would you give to people looking to update their home? I would always recommend working with a professional with good references. It is important so that you don't make costly mistakes or get caught up in trends. You should work with someone that can identify your style so that you are happy for years to come and can say "I love my home!" How does the process work when hiring an interior designer? It just starts with a phone call and scheduling a consultation. We can then establish your style, personal goals, color scheme, budget, lifestyle, measure and make an organized list, so we are focused and meet your needs. Whether it's updating and sprucing up the home with accessories and perhaps adding a few pieces of furniture or a full remodel. Why should someone hire you? %ecause I am an e[pert in my field and really care about my clients. I also work with a great team of contractors, painters, wallpaper installers, ect. If you have a medical problem, you call a doctor, right? Or if you have a legal question, you'd call an attorney. You get the idea. Most contractors and sales people want you in and out, giving you the easiest solution. )or me each client is different and I take the time to get to know them and think outside of the box to make them truly happy and have their home reÁect them and be functional for their lifestyle. Sometimes it's just updating accessories and changing out a few pieces of furniture. Sometimes it's a full Remodel. Either way, we will make choices that are timeless and classic, be it modern or traditional. I truly love my job and working with people. I make it fun and not overwhelming. Satisfied clients are talking... "Five years later, I am in love with her designs in every room of my home." - Armida Bembi "Her talent with furniture, fabrics and textures is something to behold." - Melissa Sonoma Call or Text Lindsay: (909) 510-9470 thelinztaylor@gmail.com Lindsay Taylor Vos Interior Design Five ways to elevate your laundry room When you’re seeking ways to optimize your home, it’s easy to overlook the humble laundry room. But there are many ways to improve your experience of this room, making it more functional and attractive. 1. Shed some light o the subject Improving the room’s lighting will make daily chores easier to do while also aking the room feel more bright and cheerf l. Yo may need to add several recessed lights to really see well, especially if there’s no window. Consider adding a window or enlarging an existing window to boost natural light. Applying a fresh coat of light-colored or white paint can also make any space feel open and airy. 2. Make it functional and multi-purpose Every good laundry room needs a utility sink deep enough to soak soiled clothing. How about a sink you can also use to bathe your dog? You can create the perfect pet beauty parlor with a 12” deep Cairn Utility Sink from KOHLER. It offers a generous workspace, along with a stainless steel utility sink and accompanying wash bin. 3. Get organized Increasing shelving and/or cupboard space is always smart for a laundry room upgrade. If you select open shelving, use matching baskets, boxes or trays to create a unified look. Make sure to include a large drying rack to ha g delicates and other items that need to be air dried. One idea that’s seriously trending is combining the laundry area with the mudroom, which helps contain the mess coming in from outside. 4. Elevate the situation One way to truly elevate your laundry room is to put your machines up on pedestals. This option not only makes maintenance and cleaning a lot easier, but is also much gentler on your back - you’ll do a lot less leaning and bending over every laundry day. 5. Flaunt your style Consider bright paint colors or whimsical wallpaper when you’re giving the room a makeover. Fun art acce ts and even a whiteboard or chalkboard for laundry instructions (or playful notes!) may encourage more family members to join the laundry routine. Even achieving a couple of these upgrades can make a big difference in how you use and perceive the humble laundry room.
