C29ID continued to rear its ugly head in our lives, but true to human nature, we have continued to adapt to its presence and resume a semblance of normalcy. While it is unlikely that COVID will disappear anytime soon, I thinN we have become better eTuipped to manage it than in the past. :ith the improvement in the pandemic, there has been an increase in travel and seeing friends and family. I thinN the feeling of isolation is finally improving and along with it, our emotional well-being. )or me, this year has been full of adventures with my family, but there is one event that I would liNe to share. :hile most of my patients Nnow that I grew up in Canada and came to the United States for medical school, not many Nnow that, after living here for 2 years, I recently became an American citi]en. This change led me to reflect on our country and what it means to me. :hile it may have its share of problems, the 8nited States offers an incredible opportunity and freedom for its citi]ens. It saddens me to see some of the division and intolerance to views that differ from our own as well as the distrust and animosity directed toward our law enforcement officers who provide a vital role in maintaining and protecting our society. I will always love the country of my birth but am proud to say that I am an American. During my recital of the 2ath of Allegiance, I was touched by the emotion shown by some of my fellow new citi]ens. I hope that we can, once again, show pride in our country and worN to Neep it the greatest one in the world. :e have been extremely busy at 9I3 )acial Artistry, even more than 2 21, and we are incredibly grateful. I feel humbled by the trust and confidence that our patients and the community has placed in me and the office in trusting us with the care of their faces as well as those of their friends and family members. It makes my Mob truly rewarding to develop many long-term relationships with our patients as they become part of the VIP Family. We will continue to strive to provide the best care that we possibly can and hope to continue to earn your trust. 1o one Nnows what 2 23 will bring, but we will continue to have faith that, no matter what we may face, we will get through it together as a community and country.
