Equine Therapy Horses have a special ability to help people work through emotional barriers without judgment or shame. Horses are the only animal that mirror your emotions, allowing you to see yourself from a different perspective. It is said, “An hour with a horse is equivalent to 4 hours on the couch.” K9 Therapy K9 therapy opens the door of healing for women struggling with trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other forms of violence. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder goes hand in hand with traumatic experiences. We have seen amazing healing when our women connect to one of our therapy dogs. Art Therapy Art therapy is an independent and purposeful therapy. Women are expressing emotions through different types of textiles and techniques. In addiction the pain is real. Providence wants to help, from addiction recovery, to family counseling, and unification. We help women develop a firm foundation based on a relationship with the God of your understanding. Two days a week, the women are invited to Providence Heart Ranch, a subsidiary of Providence Recovery. Providence Heart Ranch provides riding lessons for the community and equine therapy for men, women, and children.
