Earlier this year, the City launched a months-long Join the Conversation effort to solicit feedback from you - the residents we are proud to serve.Thank you to the over 1,300 Moreno Valley residents who provided feedback on service priorities! Because of cost increases at the County level for public safety services, the impacts of COVID, and the historical impact of over $50 million in takeaways of local tax dollars by the State, MorenoValley needs additional resources to be able to fund the essential public safety, road repair, and other essential services residents expect and deserve. That is why this past August, the City Council unanimously placed the Local Moreno Valley Essential Services Measure G on the November ballot for voter consideration. If approved by MorenoValley voters, it will enact a 1 - cent local sales tax until ended by voters, providing a source of locally controlled funds that the State cannot take. We encourage all Moreno Valley voters to participate in the municipal election this November.
